Announcement of TECO-LA’s Consular Service in Accordance to Gov. Newsom’s Recent Order Regarding COVID-19
In order to follow mandate and to safeguard the health of our consular visitors and employees, TECO-LA’s Consular Office only accepts mail-in application.
- On July 13, 2020, California Governor Gavin Newsom tightened restrictions for non-essential businesses in response to a rapid and sharp growth of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations across California.
- As of Tuesday, July 14, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health confirmed the highest number of new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations reported in a day with 4,264 new cases and 2,103 people currently hospitalized.
- Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti recently confirmed that LA County’s region ranges #20 in containing the most COVID-19 cases around the world.
Given the aforementioned facts, effective immediately, all of TECO-LA’s consular services will be adjusted to mail-in services only. We also would like to encourage everyone to strictly follow State, local and CDC’s COVID-19 guidelines.
