The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York would like to invite all film lovers to the screenings of two LGBTQ films from Taiwan: "Alifu, the Prince/ss" on June 27 and "Looking For?" on June 28. Both screenings start at 7:00pm and will be followed by a discussion with the director of the film as well as Prof. Ron Gregg from the Film and Media Studies Program at the Columbia University’s School of the Arts.
"Alifu, the Prince/ss" by Yu-lin Wang centers on the sexual and ethnic struggles of Alifu, a 25-year-old Paiwan hairdresser, who is torn between his dreams of getting a sex change and his responsibility of inheriting the role as chief of the Paiwan tribe.

"Looking For?" by Tung-yen Chou is a Taiwanese documentary on gay dating apps. The film follows Chou across the world, as he visits and interviews 60 men living in seven cities, revealing their experiences of love, lust, and loss.
