During this challenging time, health professionals and essential workers are risking their lives on the front lines to protect our health and maintain the society’s critical functions. Taiwan is doing its part by donating more than 10 million face masks to the US, Europe and diplomatic allies, and has partnered with major countries to accelerate medical research and development. We are putting “Health for all - Taiwan can help” into action.
In the spirit of solidarity, TECO-NY is launching an online event to encourage everyone in the States of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, as well as the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to join us in saying thank you to frontline heroes by sharing with us short videos or photos of how you are offering support.
Any kind of good deeds or positive vibe is welcome. It could be anything from sending supplies to local hospitals, providing meals for those in need, donating to relief funds, and writing a thank-you poem to choreographing a dance.
Be creative. Share your photos or videos on our event page to show support, and encourage those you know to do the same. Participants will have the opportunity to win a monetary prize or donate that money to an NGO/hospital/charity of your choice. Everyone can help—let’s spread positivity!
Event duration:
April 7, 2020 through May 1, 2020
How to enter:
Step 1: Take action—do what you can to help out in the current crisis. Remember to always stay safe and protect others.
Step 2: Share—upload a photo or short video (max. 3-minute, in English or Chinese) showing how you are helping to our Facebook event page.
Competition and rewards:
On May 1, we calculate the total number of Likes and Shares on your uploaded photo or video. The top three winners will be rewarded $1,000, $600, and $300 respectively. Winners may accept the prize or choose an NGO/hospital/charity to which TECO-NY could donate the prize money in the winners' name.
*The NGO/hospital/charity the winners choose should be located within the States of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, as well as the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in accordance with TECO-NY’s area of jurisdiction.
Please note that the content of your shared photo or video shall be in accordance with copyright laws and regulations, and plagiarism is strictly prohibited. The work you submitted shall not contain or include any images and/or language that are inappropriate and/or derogatory. TECO-NY reserves the right to remove your photo or video should such a situation occur.
