Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Seattle hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony of TRA@40 photography exhibition at its Cultural Center. D.G Fan welcomed various guests, including Bellevue City Councilmember Jared Nieuwenhuis and Janice Zhan.
During the welcoming remarks, Alex Fan emphasized that TRA (Taiwan Relation Act)is the foundation on which the robust U.S.-Taiwan partnership has continued to thrive for last 40 years. It is important to the United States and also to the peace and stability in East Asia. Plus, he also urged all guests support Taiwan’s participation in upcoming (the 72nd) World Health Assembly and related technical meetings, mechanisms and activities, because diseases and viruses see no boundaries. Taiwan is a worthy and reliable partner that can help countries around the world to fix the problems.
