Hualien City Government and TzuChi Seattle Donated Medical Supplies to Bellevue City Government

Director General Alex Fan of TECO in Seattle and Ms. Hong-wen Charng of TzuChi Seattle delivered 300 handmade soaps and 30 face shields made by Hualien City Government, along with TzuChi’s cloth masks and protective goggles to the City of Bellevue on May 8. Mayor Lynne Robinson, Deputy Mayor Jared Nieuwenhuis, Councilmember Conrad Lee, Emergency Management Manager Curry Mayer and Fire Chief Jay Hagen received them on behalf of the Bellevue City.
Mayor Robinson expressed her gratitude to Hualien City and TzuChi, and said that the City Government will put these medical supplies into good use, and they will always remember the generosity. Councilmember Lee also mentioned that Bellevue will continue to strengthen its sister city relationship with Hualien. Ms. Charng briefly introduced TzuChi has been donated medical supplies to hospitals and caring facilities in Washington State and the U.S.
This donation showcased the kindness and social responsibility of Taiwanese people throughout the cooperation of TECO in Seattle and TzuChi Seattle.
