Highlights of the webinar on Taiwan’s COVID-19 Response Policy

TECO in Seattle and Seattle World Affairs Council (WAC) co-hosted a webinar on Taiwan’s COVID-19 response policy at 17:00-18:00 on July 9th (PDT) and invited Dr. Leonard Chuech from Taiwan Adventist Hospital and Dr. Jason Wang from Stanford University to exchange their insights with President Jacqueline Miller of the WAC.
Director General Alex Fan gave remarks and mentioned how the Taiwanese government enacted advanced deployment at the beginning of the pandemic and establish Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC), integrated national health system with immigration data with contact tracing strategy to achieve the positive containment results of COVID-19. DG Fan also said that Taiwan has been donating over 50 million medical masks to the world for assisting other countries to combat the disease.
