This is the second batch of this year’s TTA Boot Camp where 73 startups are selected from 151 candidates. 29 of the teams have passed the preliminary selection of Meet Taipei 2018 “TIEC Pitch and Match” and 44 of them are about to join CES 2019 “Taiwan Tech Arena Taiwan Pavilion.” Mentors from Silicon Valley has customized the training courses with one-on-one coaching and small group sessions in order to guide startups to deliver their best performance in these international events.
Meet Taipei 2018 “TIEC Pitch and Match” will be held on November 16. To stimulate the ambition of these entrepreneurs, the 29 participants of the TTA Boot Camp need to fight their way into “TIEC Pitch and Match” on the Pitch Night on October 31 during the Boot Camp. Only 20 startups can win the opportunity to pitch in front of international investors and corporate, speaking their prospects to raise funds.
The Pitch Night also serves as a tryout stage for the 44 members of the CES 2019 “Taiwan Tech Arena Taiwan Pavilion” before they hit the road to Las Vegas to demonstrate their innovations. Witnessing stories from the 32 startups on successfully connecting with business partners in the U.S. and elsewhere via this year’s CES Eureka Park, in the next January, MoST and TTA will bring 44 startups to showcase their innovations and strong product potential in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, wearing devices, smart life and medtech, to create practical cooperation with investors and corporate, and to get favored in this international startup arena.
Taiwan Tech Arena: a network where talents, investors and technologies converge to reach to international markets
Since its grand opening in June, TTA has progressively integrated startup programs including training provided by accelerators and deep technology backed by academic R&D into an innovation resources platform which can be leveraged by all the actors in the startup ecosystem in Taiwan. It continues to direct resources from major startup clusters around the world, such as Silicon Valley, and to cooperate with impactful international entrepreneurial events, such as CES. Through these approaches, Taiwan’s deep tech startups and industries can not only enjoy a greater global media exposure, but can also address their crucial roles on international digital economy and on innovation industry chain.
