Ambassador Douglas Hsu Hosts Canberra Preliminary Forum for OCAC 2025 General Assembly

Ambassador Douglas Hsu hosted the Canberra preliminary forum for the 2025 General Assembly of Council Members of OCAC, engaging with local overseas Taiwanese community leaders. Attendees included representatives from TACA, TACA Mandarin Language School, ANU TSA, Deputy Representative Regine Chen, and the TECO Education Division. The forum provided a platform for open discussion, with Ambassador Hsu thanking the community for their longstanding support and emphasizing OCAC’s commitment to listening to and coordinating community voices.
During the session, Ambassador Hsu introduced TECO’s future priorities and upcoming activities, and presented Dr. Chan-Feng Lin with an official certificate as “Associate Adviser” in recognition of his long-term service. He encouraged collaboration among TECO, TACA, and ANU TSA to promote Taiwan through cultural events, social media partnerships, and educational programs. Participants also exchanged ideas on initiatives such as the FASCA program, Indigenous performance troupes, Taiwan film screenings, Taiwan Day, sports teams, and the establishment of a Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning. TECO will continue supporting these efforts to enhance Taiwan’s presence and engagement in Australia.
