Ambassador Douglas Hsu said in an interview with the Australian Financial Review that Taiwan commits to support Australia’s fuel supply, reflecting the growing momentum in Taiwan–Australia energy cooperation.
Ambassador Hsu noted that Australia has long been a stable supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Taiwan, making it an important and reliable energy partner. He said both sides share strong common interests in energy security, supply chain resilience, and economic cooperation.
Ambassador Hsu emphasized that a closer Taiwan–Australia energy partnership will help strengthen both sides’ energy security and deepen the broader strategic foundation of the bilateral relationship.
