駐布里斯本台北經濟文化辦事處於10月3日晚間在南區SunPAC表演中心盛大舉辦中華民國(台灣)114年國慶酒會，邀請澳洲政要、外交領事團、商界、智庫、媒體、昆州警務署、僑務榮譽職人員及本地台灣社團與學生會等逾250位貴賓齊聚一堂，共慶國慶。
范處長在酒會致詞強調，台灣在全球供應鏈及地緣政治上具關鍵地位，在賴清德總統提出「價值外交」與「經濟日不落國」願景下所推動「總合外交」政策，強化台灣的國際競爭力與領導力，並致力發展AI產業鏈，打造「AI人工智慧島」，實踐「Taiwan can help and lead」理念，另「榮邦計畫」將台灣科技經濟輸出海外，建立互惠且具韌性的「價值同盟」。范處長指出，台灣與澳洲及昆士蘭關係逐年深化，台商持續在昆州投資各種產業，且台澳與台昆間在各領域交流頻繁。至未來台澳合作與國際參與，台灣持續推動加入CPTPP，並盼與澳洲簽署自由貿易協定，肯定本年台澳能礦諮商會議（JEMTIC）簽署「台澳能礦領域合作瞭解備忘錄」、本年8月第38屆「台澳經濟聯席會議」亦簽署「支持台灣加入CPTPP宣言」，並感謝澳洲參議院於2024年8月通過動議確認聯合國2758號決議並未決定台灣的地位，亦未限制台灣參與國際組織，係對台灣參與國際社會的重要支持。台灣將持續與理念相近國家合作，推動參與國際組織如UN、INTERPOL、ICAO、WHO等，維護台海和平穩定，期盼澳洲持續關注並支持區域和平。
澳洲國會與昆州政要致詞時均高度肯定台灣人民對澳洲多元文化與經濟發展的卓越貢獻，近年訪台的政要也親身體驗見證台灣經濟發展、創新科技及人民友善熱情。台澳共享自由民主核心價值 並表達持續支持台灣參與國際社會。
活動中安排了由Dean Simmons老師帶領的太鼓隊擊鼓開場震撼表演、甫獲全澳韻律體操冠軍的台裔第三代Abby Lee的精湛演出，以及FASCA海外青年文化大使領唱台澳兩國國歌，展現青春世代的力量與傳承。現場並提供台灣特色佳餚與美酒，包括珍珠奶茶、滷肉飯、刈包及Kavalan威士忌等，讓來賓盡享道地台灣美食文化。
酒會在熱情與祝福聲中圓滿落幕，祝願中華民國(台灣)生日快樂，並期盼台澳兩國友誼長青。
TECO Brisbane Hosts the 114th ROC (Taiwan) National Day Reception
On October 3, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Brisbane proudly hosted the 114th National Day Reception of the Republic of China (Taiwan) at SunPAC. Over 250 distinguished guests attended, including Australian political leaders, members of the diplomatic corps, business and think tank representatives, media, Queensland Police, Taiwanese community leaders, and student associations.
In his remarks, Director-General William Fan emphasized Taiwan’s pivotal role in global supply chains and geopolitics. He highlighted President Lai’s vision of “Values-Based Diplomacy” and “Comprehensive Diplomacy,” aimed at strengthening Taiwan’s international competitiveness and leadership. He also underlined Taiwan’s commitment to developing AI industries to build an “AI Island,” advancing the “Taiwan Can Help and Lead” spirit, and implementing the “Yung Bong Project” to create resilient partnerships with like-minded countries.
Director-General Fan noted the deepening ties between Taiwan, Australia, and Queensland across various sectors. He reaffirmed Taiwan’s pursuit of joining the CPTPP, the hope for a Taiwan–Australia Free Trade Agreement, and welcomed milestones such as the signing of the Taiwan–Australia Memorandum of Understanding on energy and minerals cooperation at JEMTIC, as well as the declaration supporting Taiwan’s CPTPP accession at the 38th Joint Economic Meeting. He also expressed appreciation to the Australian Senate for its 2024 motion affirming that UN Resolution 2758 does not determine Taiwan’s status nor restrict its participation in international organizations. Taiwan will continue working with like-minded partners to engage in UN, INTERPOL, ICAO, WHO, and other bodies while jointly safeguarding peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
Australian federal and Queensland parliamentarians delivered remarks commending the contributions of Taiwanese Australians to the nation’s multiculturalism and economy, and reiterated strong support for Taiwan’s participation in the international community.
The event featured an energetic Taiko drum performance led by Dean Simmons, a stunning rhythmic gymnastics performance by Abby Lee—third-generation Taiwanese Australian and winner of the 2025 National Pre-Junior Championship—and the singing of the national anthems of Taiwan and Australia led by the Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors (FASCA). Guests also enjoyed a variety of authentic Taiwanese delicacies, including pearl milk tea, braised pork rice, gua bao, and Kavalan whisky, showcasing Taiwan’s vibrant food culture.
The reception concluded in a warm and festive atmosphere, celebrating the birthday of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the enduring friendship between Taiwan and Australia.
