范厚祿處長致詞時感謝籌備團隊辛勞,也肯定僑界長年發揮橋梁角色,讓臺灣的民主、和平與繁榮價值在國際社會被看見。他並強調,在總統賴清德領導下,臺灣將持續推動民主、和平、繁榮的總和外交,並期盼與澳洲友人攜手合作,支持臺灣有意義地參與聯合國(UN)、國際民航組織(ICAO),以及加入 CPTPP 等國際機構。
現場嘉賓一致恭賀中華民國114年國慶,並高度肯定臺灣自由民主的成就。活動節目包括舞蹈表演與臺灣經典樂曲演奏,展現臺灣多元文化風貌,讓現場氣氛熱烈歡騰、溫馨感人。
Queensland Taiwanese Community Celebrates the 114th ROC National Day 
On October 4, more than 350 guests, including Taiwanese community leaders, business representatives, and Australian officials, gathered at Fenglin Restaurant in Brisbane’s southside to celebrate the 114th Double Tenth National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Distinguished guests included Director-General William Fan and Mrs. Fan of TECO Brisbane, Director Chun-Yung Hsu of the Taiwan Centre Queensland, National Day Organizing Committee Chairperson Ms. Fuling Lo, Vice Chairperson Ms. Chiou-Yen Chen, Commissioner Ms. Jui-Yun Hsu, as well as Ms. Chiung-Ying Lee, President of the Australian Chapter of the World Taiwanese Chambers of Women Entrepreneurs, who led the host team.
Australian officials in attendance included Senator Paul Scarr, MP Julie-Ann Campbell, State MPs Peter Russo, Leeanne Enoch, James Martin, Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, Logan Mayor Jon Raven, and Queensland Police Acting Inspector Cindel Richardson.
In his remarks, Director-General Fan expressed deep gratitude to the organizing team and acknowledged the Taiwanese community’s tireless role in building bridges and promoting Taiwan’s values of democracy, peace, and prosperity worldwide. He emphasized that under President Lai Ching-te’s leadership, Taiwan will continue to work with international partners, including Australia, to seek meaningful participation in the UN, ICAO, CPTPP, and beyond.
The evening program featured energetic dance performances and beloved Taiwanese music, offering guests a vibrant taste of Taiwan’s rich cultural diversity. The warm atmosphere reflected both pride in Taiwan’s democratic achievements and the unity of the overseas Taiwanese community.
