The 2018 Taiwan Fellowship Program is now open for applications until 30th June 2018. The program is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and will award study grant to foreign experts and scholars interested in researches related to Taiwan, Cross Taiwan Strait relations, mainland China, Asia Pacific region, Chinese studies, industry development, market investment, trade and international education cooperation to conduct advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan.Applicants shall be foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, doctoral program students, or research fellows from academic institutions who specialize in social sciences or humanities related to Taiwan in the above-mentioned areas.Once accepted, the recipients will begin their research in Taiwan the following year. The study grant will cover a monthly stipend at NT$60,000 for professors, associate professors, research fellows, or associate research fellows; NT$50,000 for assistant professors, assistant research fellows, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, doctoral program students for a minimum of 3 months to the maximum of 12 months. It will also include one roundtrip economy class ticket for the most direct route to Taiwan.
