Please note:
* Translation of document must be word by word and must be in Traditional Chinese. This office does not review the content of the document. Please ensure that all of your personal data recorded on the document is accurate before submission.
* Chinese translations can also be notarised by a Republic of China (Taiwan) courthouse if the original document (in original language) has been authenticated by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office of the consular district where the document originated.
Authentication Requirements:
- Please bring your own Chinese translation in Traditional Chinese along with the original English document authenticated by our office.
- Applicants will be asked to sign the translated document before our officers.
- Postal applicants are required to have the translated document notarised by a Queensland or Northern Territory Notary Public (from the state where the document was issued) and post with accompanying original English documents to our office.
- The original and a photocopy of your (and your representative's , if any) valid passport(s). R.O.C. citizens must provide R.O.C. passport or National ID. Postal applicants: please enclose the photocopy of your passport(s) instead.
- A completed original Application Form for Authentication signed by the applicant (and the representative, if any).
- Authentication Fee:
- A$22.00 per document for 5 business days standard application; or
- A$33.00 per document for 1 business day urgent application.
Payment Method:
- Lodge in person: cash only.
- Postal applications: Money Order or Bank Cheque payable to the "Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Brisbane". (Personal cheque will not be accepted.)
