The “Taiwan Premium Rice Charity Sale and Taiwan-Australia Cultural Exchange Event” was successfully held in Brisbane on 25 May, bringing together Taiwanese community members, local supporters, and businesses to celebrate Taiwanese culture while supporting charity initiatives.
The event showcased Taiwan’s premium “Xiong Xiang Rice” through a variety of authentic Taiwanese dishes, allowing guests to experience the rich flavours and warmth of Taiwan. Through charity sales and fundraising activities, a total of AUD 33,328 was raised and donated to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital Foundation to support local healthcare and medical research services.
Director-General William Fan of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Brisbane noted that the event demonstrated Taiwan’s spirit of giving back to society and highlighted the “Taiwan Can Help” spirit through cultural and community engagement.
TECO Brisbane sincerely thanks Taiwan Premium Rice, co-organisers, and all supporters for helping promote Taiwan’s agricultural excellence, compassion, and friendship with Australia.
