Launched in 2018, serves as a resident visa, work permit, Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), and re-entry permit. This 4–in 1 card allows you to leave and re-enter Taiwan multiples times over the course of 1-3 years. Applications can be easily made online without sponsorship.
Four-in-One
- Work Permit: Allows cardholders to seek and change employment freely, obtain employment at any time and work any part-time job legally.
- Resident Visa: Allows a duration of stay in Taiwan for more than 180 days.
- Alien Resident Certificate: A physical ID card as evidence of lawful resident status in Taiwan.
- Re-entry Permit: Allows unlimited entry and exit from Taiwan (even with travel restrictions in place during COVID-19 outbreaks).
The Application
- Qualification: Based on an assessment of professional skills and does not require the applicant to have already secured a job in Taiwan.
- Cost: between USD 100 and USD 310 depending on applicant’s nationality and how long the card is valid for.
- Process time: A perfect application takes 30 days. However, if additional supporting documents are requested, a wait-time between 50-60 days can be expected.
