Director General David Cheng-Wei Wu, together with Michael Yeh, the founding president of the Global Taiwan Hakka Organization, as well as Hakka community leaders in Sydney, were thrilled to receive Yi-Hsi Chou, the Chairperson of Taipei Hakka Affairs Commission.
Around 35 million population throughout the world can claim their ethnic roots Hakka, and Hakka culture is an indispensable part of Taiwan’s diversity and culture.
DG Wu expects that Taipei, with its unique status as nation’s capital , can facilitate more international Hakka cultural exchanges to Australia with TECO and our Hakka community in Sydney.
