Taipei Representative Office in the EU and Belgium and Belgium Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce (BTCC) co-hosted the "Economic and Trade Seminar" on 29 July, attracting close to 50 participants and generating enthusiastic responses.
The event focused on several key EU developments and policy areas, including the Omnibus Simplification Package, Artificial Intelligence (AI) trends, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and automotive industry policies, offering timely insights and practical information for Taiwanese businesses operating in Europe.
In their opening remarks, Ambassador Lee and President Lin of BTCC both emphasized that digital transformation and green transition are crucial trends shaping the future and vital considerations for business operations. Participants found the discussion highly informative and expressed strong interest in continued engagement.
