The 2026–2027 evening Chinese language courses at KU Leuven (Brussels campus)—ideal for working professionals and non-language majors—starts on 22 September, 2026. Don’t miss this perfect gateway into the Chinese-speaking world; please feel free to enroll.
Course Overview
The evening course in traditional Chinese characters is organized by Education Division, Taipei Representative Office in the EU and Belgium, with the support of KU Leuven (Brussels campus). Beginning on 22 September 2026, four in-person evening classes will be offered at levels A1, A2, B1, and B2. Students will learn pinyin and radicals, appreciate the beauty of traditional characters, and by the end of the course will have acquired diverse communication skills and practical topics for everyday life.
Focus on Communication
The curriculum emphasizes communicative competence: it introduces everyday-life themes and job-related practical vocabulary to strengthen listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Most importantly, it helps students enjoy learning Chinese.
Non-Credit, Low-Pressure Format
This is a non-credit course; students are not required to take a final exam at the end of the term. It is an ideal choice for those who want to learn a language and prefer studying without excessive pressure.
Duration, Schedule, and Fees
The course runs for 26 weeks.
Semester 1: 22 September 2026 to 17 December 2026.
Semester 2: 9 February 2027 to 20 May 2027.
