The Embassy in partnership with the Sarstoon Temash Institute for Indigenous Management, an indigenous, grassroots organization led by #Maya Women in #PuntaGorda, Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Belize, and the TaiwanICDF, hosted a capacity-building training course for Maya Women’s Creative Industry. (Mar. 10, 2022)
Many outstanding Maya women from #Toledo District had participated in the course and focused on several key training areas such as Quality Control – Xok’bil Chuy, Product Enhancement and Business. We hereby extends the warmest congratulations to these remarkable women on their learning achievements, and the fulfillment of women empowerment.
The Embassy will continue to work with the Government of Belize and the Mayan-related groups in Belize, to conserve and to promote the Mayan culture, as well as to enhance the bilateral cooperation on women and cultural issues between our two countries.
