Today, Ambassador David Kuan-Chou Chien expressed appreciation to TaiwanICDF experts Mr. Miguel Cheng and Mr. Cheng-Lung Wang for their dedication to laying the groundwork for the project for prevention and control of Banana Fusarium (Panama Disease) between Taiwan and Belize.
During the past week, Mr. Cheng and Mr. Wang had very fruitful meetings with CEO Servulo Baeza of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprises, OIRSA, the Belize Agricultural Health Authority, Belize Banana Growers’ Association, and also took on the field trip to southern part of Belize.
Both Taiwan and Belize look forward to working closely together to ensure the sustainable development of banana growing in Belize, as well as deepening the agricultural cooperation between our two countries.
