The House of Representatives of Belize unanimously adopted a historic motion supporting Taiwan’s participation in the international organizations, including the United Nations, the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
The motion not only symbolized the recognition for Taiwan’s contribution to the global community, but also demonstrated the rock-solid partnership between Belize and Taiwan. The Embassy would like to express our appreciation to all the members in the National Assembly of Belize, for their bipartisan support for Taiwan.
As Taiwan is a trustworthy and faithful ally of Belize, the Embassy will continue to work with the Government of Belize to further strengthen the bilateral relationships and advance the well-being and benefits of our two peoples.
