Thanks to the House of Representatives of Belize for unanimously adopting an important motion to support Democratic Taiwan(March 24,2023)

On behalf of the people and government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Embassy would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the House of Representatives of Belize for unanimously adopting an important motion to support Democratic Taiwan, in which Belize welcomes the upcoming visit of H.E. Dr. Tsai Ing-wen, President of the Republic of China (Taiwan), reaffirms to stand together with Taiwan in solidarity to safeguard Taiwan’s democracy, freedom and self-determination when facing military threats, supports Taiwan’s participation in international organizations, and commits to deepening the diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Following the Motion to Support Taiwan’s Participation in International Organizations 2022, adopted by the National Assembly of Belize last year, the above-mentioned motion once again demonstrates the genuine friendship and strong partnership between Belize and Taiwan. We want to say “THANK YOU , Belize!”, and will always cherish the strong and healthy bonds between our two peoples and countries.
