The Republic of China (Taiwan) Donates Medical Instruments to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH)
The Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has secured 57 items of medical instruments through the “Global Medical Instruments Support & Service Program” (GMISS), including 1 Surgery Table, 1 Obstetric Diagnostic Table, 1 Endoscope Set, 1 Slit Lamp, 2 Electrocardiographs, 1 Portable Ultrasound Device, etc., costing totally about US$66,182, for donating to new Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), H.E. Ambassador Benjamin Ho hands over the instruments to Mrs. Barrow and Dr. Adrian A. Coye, CEO of KHMH at an open ceremony on October 22, 2015.
In addition to the donation of medical equipment, the prestigious Far Eastern Memorial Hospital of Taiwan dispatched one doctor and 2 nurses to KHMH in September 2015 to train the PICU nurses. GMISS will also send 3 experts to KHMH from November 9 to 13 to train its medical technicians to operate the donated instruments.
