One of Taiwan’s leading industry players in freshly-made drinks CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice has expanded into City of Hamilton, Ontario, with the opening of a new location in the city on Oct. 9. Ambassador Rong-chuan Wu, Director General of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Toronto, Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger, Councilor Jason Farr and other leaders of local community jointly cut the ribbon in the opening ceremony. Many young fans of CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice were on the scene, waiting to have a taste of its signature Taiwanese tapioca milk tea and fresh teas and juices.
In his congratulatory remarks, Mayor Eisenberger welcomed CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice’s new store in Hamilton. Eisenberger told other guests that the new tea house is actually located next to his 2010 election campaign headquarter. The mayor also admitted that he loves the taste and quality of Taiwanese bubble tea.
Ambassador Wu also made his congratulatory remarks during the ceremony, saying that Taiwan not only boasts of its leading edge ICT products, it is also famous for its diverse and innovative cuisine culture. Ambassador Wu welcomed the expansion of CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice into Hamilton and wished it every success for its future. He also encouraged owners of this new tea shop to take part in seminars held by Taiwan’s Overseas Community Affairs Council to learn more about management and innovative ideas in food & beverage industry.
CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice was founded in Tanshui, Taiwan in 1997 by Chairman Tommy Hung. With its corporate spirit of "global enterprise, local management,” the company has successfully expanded its business into the whole world, and has established 2,000 affiliated shops globally, including 2 stores in the Great Toronto Area.
