The annual application period of MOFA Taiwan Fellowship is now open from May 1 to June 30, 2026.

This fellowship is established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Republic of China (Taiwan) to award foreign experts and scholars interested in researches related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, Asia-Pacific region and Sinology to conduct advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan.

Up to year 2026, there have been more than 1,600 scholars from 93 countries accepted by this program.

The recipients of this fellowship will conduct their research in Taiwan as early as January of 2027, those who are interested please apply online and submit hard copies to Taipei Liaison Office in Cape Town by July 1 (postmark shall prevail).
