On February 14, the Eastern Cape Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce held a Lunar New Year celebration in East London, South Africa.
Ms. Lily Chen, Director General of the Taipei Liaison Office in Cape Town, specially flew in to join the celebration and share New Year wishes with the Taiwanese community.
Roses were given to the ladies in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, adding warmth to the festive evening .
There was also a calligraphy activity, where “Galloping Forward to a Bright Future” was written to wish everyone success and prosperity in the Year of the Horse. Children received lucky red envelopes, and the evening ended in a joyful and festive atmosphere.
