Taiwanese Community in Cape Town Celebrates Mother’s Day &Youth Chamber Leadership Handover

The Cape Town Taiwan Chamber of Commerce and Junior Chamber held their 2026 Annual General Meeting on May 24, bringing together nearly 100 members of the Taiwanese community for a joyful and heartwarming gathering. Director General Lily Chen of the Taipei Liaison Office in Cape Town attended alongside her colleagues and shared Mother’s Day cake and Taiwan Beer with everyone!
The chambers thanked members for their continued support and highlighted the importance of unity, friendship, and mutual support within the overseas
Taiwanese community.
The leadership handover ceremony was successfully completed with warm applause and encouragement for the new team. The event also featured Mother’s Day celebrations, gifts for mothers, and plenty of smiles and laughter throughout the day!
