Director General Jin-Ling Chen visits the Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library of the University of Toronto, looking forward to deepening academic exchanges

Director General Jin-Ling Chen and Deputy Director General Song-Whei Hong were invited to visit the Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library at the University of Toronto on September 22nd. They expressed their gratitude to Director Hana Kim and Chinese Department Director Dr. Stephen Qiao for their warm reception and for providing an introduction to the library's history, collection resources, and academic exchange activities.
The Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library is one of the most important repositories of East Asian research materials in North America. In collaboration with the National Central Library of Taiwan, the library established the "Taiwan Resource Center for Chinese Studies" in 2015. It regularly plans and hosts a series of "Taiwan Studies Lectures." Director General Chen looks forward to further deepening cooperation between the two sides to promote Taiwan and Chinese studies and expand academic exchanges.
