The protagonist of this short film is Dr. Paul Bosawai Popora, a doctor from the Solomon Islands who trained in Taiwan at National Cheng Kung University’s College of Medicine with support from the MOFA Taiwan Scholarship Program. The film spends the course of an entire day with him, to show how Taiwan's compassion for others helps make changes for the better in everyday life on the ground. The guidance and training offered him by his mentors while he was in Taiwan and the medical supplies he receives since returning home, as part of aid projects, have enabled Dr. Bosawai Popora to give back to his homeland. There are two doctors per 10,000 people in the Solomons, far below the 14.89 per 10,000 world average, and over the last ten years or so, Taiwan has been quietly assisting in the training of over 70 medical personnel from the country
