The 19th Emirates International Peace Music Festival and Abu Dhabi Festival started on the November 27 and will continue until December 2. The first performance took place at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, featuring the Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra, Taiwan's Jungli Youth Orchestra, and an orchestra from Japan.
Before the performance, Director General Samee Chang and his colleagues, along with overseas compatriots, exchanged greetings with members of the Jungli Youth Orchestra outside the concert hall. Director General Chang congratulated them on their first invitation to represent Taiwan at the festival. He expressed hope that through exchanges with musicians from various countries during these days, they would bring fruitful results back to Taiwan. He also believed that their performances would effectively showcase Taiwan's cultural and artistic strengths.
The annual Emirates International Peace Music Festival, organized by the Abu Dhabi Festival, was founded by musician Riad Kudsi, who is also the music director of the Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra, in 2004. The festival aims to bring together talented young musicians from the UAE and around the world, providing them with opportunities to showcase their talents, grow, and learn from each other. It also seeks to promote the dissemination and exchange of classical music culture in the UAE.
Director General Samee Chang and his colleagues, along with fellow Taiwanese took a group photo with the representatives of Jungli Youth Orchestra.
