Ambassador Sherman S. Kuo of the Taipei Representative Office in Greece hosted a dinner party for Managing Director Ted Wu, Deputy Director Hayden Chang and staff and family of the Yang Ming (Mediterranean) Co., Ltd. – Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation’s branch in Greece on August 20, 2018. The two groups exchange ideas and opinions on the operation situation of the new Taiwanese company in Greece and the Taiwanese staff’s adaptation to life in Greece.

Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation has formed the new regional center of the Mediterranean in Piraeus, named as YANG MING (MEDITERRANEAN) MARINE SERVICES SINGLE-MEMBER LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY. This new company has begun to provide services on April 2, 2018.

According to Yang Ming Headquarters, Greece is located in a strategical position in the middle of the Mediterranean, linking to Black Sea and North Africa easily, whose economy has been growing steadily in recent years. Its investment in Greece is to form a more comprehensive and intensive logistics network by integrating business in the regions around and reinforcing the operations for import/export/transship cargo in the Mediterranean, Black Sea and North Africa areas.
