The Taipei Representative Office in Hungary, the Embassy of the United States in Kosovo and the University of Prishtina co-hosted the Global Cooperation and Training Framework (GCTF) Workshop in Prishtina on September 17th, 2026, which titled “Connecting Critical Supply Chains and Logistics Hubs: Advancing Prosperity with Strategic Partners”.
This is the first time a GCTF workshop has been held in Kosovo and in the Western Balkans, gathering officials, members of parliament, experts, and industry leaders from the United States, Taiwan and Kosovo to explore how strategic partnerships can strengthen global supply chain resilience and economic security. Kosovo is uniquely positioned to enhance regional logistics and facilitate economic integration across Europe. As a key player in advanced semiconductor, AI and technology, Taiwan is ready to cooperate with Kosovo in technology, innovation, trade and logistics. The discussions aim to lead to lasting connections among governments, industries, and academic institutions of like-minded democratic partners.
Established in 2015 by Taiwan and the United States, and later joined by Japan, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom as full partners, GCTF has become a premier platform for international capacity building, and has convened over 90 workshops, bringing together experts and government officials from more than 100 countries.
