The Ministry of Science and Technology provides Taiwan Scholarship to encourage outstanding international students to undertake degree program in Taiwan. If you intend to apply, please read the MOST Taiwan Scholarship Program Guideline first. (Attachment 1)
1. The Application Period: from now till 15 March, 2015.
2. Application Documents:
(1) Taiwan Scholarship Application Form (Attachment 2)
(2) A copy of applicant’s passport and Household Certificate.
(3) A copy of highest-level diploma and transcripts. These documents in a language other than Chinese or English must be translated into Chinese or English and the translated documents must be authenticated. If the diploma and transcript are issued by the other countries or international educational institutions, then documents must be authenticated by a Taiwan overseas Representative Office in that country.
(4) A copy of admission application materials to Taiwan’s Universities (e.g., copies of application fee remittance, application form, receipt of application from universities/colleges, e-mails, ).
(5) A copy of Language Proficiency Certificate:
For applications to not all-English programs:
A copy of the “Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language” (TOCFL) Level 2 or above level certificate. Other kinds of Chinese Language Proficiency Certificate are NOT eligible to apply. For applications to all-English programs:
Have to submit a copy of Formal TOEFL test scores or other International recognized English language proficiency exams.
(6) Two reference letters, signed and sealed in envelopes (i.e. from the principals, professors, or supervisors). Photo copies and email submissions of letters of recommendation will not be considered.
*All the application documents should be submit to TETO before 15 March, 2015.
3. Amount of Scholarship:
Subsistence allowance: a monthly stipend of NT$30,000
4. Duration Award
a. Master’s program: maximum 2 years.
b. Doctoral program: maximum 3years.
