Taiwan is an island of gastronomy where the cuisines of various peoples can be enjoyed, a shopping island with all the latest fashions, an island of romance with a happy atmosphere, and a place worth visiting again and again! This March 22-24 you are cordially invited to the Taiwan Pavilion at the Astindo Travel Fair in Jakarta to obtain the latest travel information, pick up fine gifts and experience Taiwanese art and cultural activities. Now is the time to visit Taiwan!
Combining Taiwan’s international religious festivals, folk activities, sports events, innovative craft activities, and other events, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau has produced the Taiwan Tourism Events Calendar ─ including 42 international events that embrace the distinctive features of cities and counties across main island Taiwan and its outlying islands; these events include the spectacular New Year’s Eve Celebration, the bustling and colorful Taiwan Lantern Festival, thrilling Xiuguluan River Rafting Activity, the romantic Love in Alishan – Wedding under Sacred Tree, and a variety of other exciting events that give people a good reason to visit Taiwan. Exciting events can be enjoyed all over Taiwan throughout the year!
The Taiwan Tourism Bureau will hold a Time for Taiwan Tourism Workshop at the Le Grandeur Mangga Dua Jakarta Hotel in Jakarta on March 20, which will be attended by the media and travel operators. Romance, shopping, and good food will be the main themes. The events of the Taiwan Tourism Events Calendar and the active efforts in Taiwan in recent years to create a Muslim-friendly travel environment will also be explained, and information about the latest special offers and Taiwan tourism events will be provided to facilitate packaging of high-quality travel products by travel operators, with the aim of attracting more visitors from Indonesia to Taiwan.
During the March 22-24 Astindo travel fair, Taiwan’s Grassroot Performing Troupe will present performances of traditional Taiwanese indigenous dance and folk arts on-site; polymer clay artist Zhong Li-ying will make polymer clay souvenirs in the shape of Taiwan, painted with tung flower motifs. She will also create lanterns featuring Chinese knot art and engage in interactive teaching at the Taiwan Pavilion. Visitors are welcome to join in the fun at the pavilion and experience in person Taiwan’s folk arts and culture! Taiwan travel experts will share their exciting experiences of traveling in Taiwan on-site; travel operators will also make itinerary presentations on the small stage in the Taiwan Pavilion. The Astindo Fair gives you a great opportunity to learn about Taiwan! Anyone who purchases a Taiwan travel product during the travel fair can pick up a fine gift on presentation of their receipt.
