The Taipei Economic and Trade Office in Surabaya is turning to ten in 2025.
Established on December 18, 2015, the office aims to strengthen the relationship between Taiwan and Eastern Indonesia. It is also committed to providing better services to Indonesian friends, including migrant workers, students and many others, and local Taiwanese entrepreneurs as well as the Taiwanese diaspora.
All year round in 2025, the office is set to proceed with nearly 45,000 visa applications - almost double the amount compared to 2016. In addition, the number of Taiwanese enterprises investing and establishing factories in East Java has grown to more than 140. These results demonstrate that bilateral exchanges and cooperation - from economy and trade to education, tourism, and migrant labor - continue to flourish and deepen. Indonesia has become the second home to many Taiwanese people.
The Taipei Economic and Trade Office in Surabaya is dedicated working together with both Indonesian and Taiwanese friends to achieve one more remarkable milestone for next decade and look forward to even stronger and more vibrant ties between Taiwan and Eastern Indonesia in the years to come.
