The Taiwan Ireland Association (TIA) held the Bingwu Year banquet on 15 February 2026, bringing together members of the Taiwanese community and local friends for a joyful celebration. Ambassador Daniel Diann-Wen Tang attended with his family to share the festive occasion.
In his remarks, Ambassador Tang thanked the TIA for organizing the event, allowing Taiwanese living in Ireland to feel the warmth of the holiday season and giving local friends an opportunity to experience the spirit of Taiwanese New Year traditions.
During the gathering, Ambassador Tang also conveyed appointment certificates and congratulatory messages from OCAC Minister Hsu Chia-ching to Advisor Evan Furlong and Associate Adviser Eric Lin. He expressed hope that the Taiwanese community in Ireland will continue to foster mutual support and exchanges through diverse activities, further strengthening friendship and understanding between Taiwan and Ireland. Ambassador Tang also wished everyone a happy and prosperous New Year.
