A nongovernmental association aimed at promoting bilateral exchanges between Taiwan and Israel in technology and innovation was established by Taiwanese in Tel Aviv on August 13.
The Israel-Taiwan Innovation and Technology Association, the first Taiwanese association in Israel to boost exchanges in technology and investment in relevant industries, was founded by a group of Taiwanese students and entrepreneurs living in Israel.
In the first year, the association will focus on network maintenance, exchanges between start-ups in Taiwan and Israel for potential business opportunities, the collection and analysis of technology trends, and internships, association Chairwoman Hsieh Pei-shan (謝佩珊) said.
The association's first meeting was hosted by MOST tech advisor in Israel, Dr. Wang Ting-an (汪庭安) and attended by H.E Kuoboug Chang (張國葆), Taiwan's envoy to Israel.
