- Please check all the information on the application form should be correct.
* The contact person in Taiwan should note the Name, ID number and contact number (both land line and mobile) - Provide all original passports and IDs and 2 photocopies. The passport validity should be more than one year.
* All the original passports and ID should be submitted, making 2 photocopies only for the current one.
* All the details on passports and ID should be matching. In case there is discrepancy in the information please ask the original issuing office to give clearance letter for verification and making necessary correction on the concerned documents.
* Indian passport holders’ should provide Voter ID or AADHAR Card as ID proof. Other documents as Birth Certificate or Residence Proof or school leaving certificate or other proof for applying ID or passport might be requested based.
* Indian Yellow IC Holder should provide RC as ID proof. The ID validity should be at least more than 6 months. Please check the details of birth place, arrival date in India, and other information should be matching with Passport.
* Nepali passport holder should provide Citizen Card (aka CC). If the CC is issued in Nepali, please provide the English Version of “Certificate of Citizenship” issued by original district office for verification. All the passports mentioned on the CC should be submitted.
* Bhutanese passport holder should provide the ID card. - Linage holder’s letter
The Original letter should mention the Linage holder’s title and name, and should be endorsed by the Holiness with original signature and Stamp. The photocopy print Stamp and signature is not accepted. The letter should be issued in one year.
The letter should contain the information of the applicant including
* name, date of birth and place, lineage, date of ordain or became monk.
* If the applicant has the title as Tulku (reincarnation), Rinpoche, Kenpo, it should be mentioned when and who grant the title to the applicant. - The Monastery’s letter
The letter should be issued only by the Abbot or the high administrative monk in the Monastery. The title, name and contact information of the issuing person should be mentioned, with original signature and monastery Stamp. TECC will contact the issuing person for verification. Print Stamp is not accepted.
The Monastery’s letter is an important document for the applicant, all the related information of the monk should be mentioned into details including:
* Applicant’s name, date of birth and place, passport number, linage, the date of ordain or became monk.
* If applicant was born in Tibet, the date and reason to come to the third country should be mentioned.
* The date/year and the monastery’s name of the applicant of becoming monk. The date/ year of the applicant to join in the present monastery.
* If the applicant became a monk not in young age, the education background or career he had before becoming monk should be mentioned.
* Religious education background into details, including subject and duration, degree/title if any.
* The designation of the applicant in the monastery: the job content, duration, if any. Previous preaching / teaching experience, if any. The recent 2 years religious experience is important. Please note it clearly on the letter, it will help for verification.
* If the applicant has the title as Tulku (reincarnation), Rinpoche, Kenpo, it should be mentioned when and who grant the title to the applicant.
* travel purpose and duration for the present application. - Invitation from Taiwan
* Original invitation endorsed by the person in charge of the concerned inviter.
* The invitation should mention the purpose, duration, schedule of stay, personal information of the applicant, the present monk lists staying in the center. - The Registration and certificate of the inviter and person in charge
- Buddhism degree if any, please make 2 photocopies.
- For facilitating the visa process, please prepare additional photocopies of the required documents.
* DO NOT PUT ANY STAPLE ON ANY DOCUMENTS, and only single side copy to facilitate the visa process.
* Make all the documents into 2 photocopies. For passport and ID, only making photocopies of the present one.
* Arrange the documents in sequence: - Submission and Collection timing:
Please submit the application at least 15 working days before departure. After submission, TECC will verify the application first and inform the interview date. There is no express service for Religious visa
* Submission: Monday-Friday, 9:00-11:00.
* Collection: Monday-Friday, 15:30-16:30
*There is no submission and collection other than the timings mentioned.
