The New Southbound Policy brochure released by the Trade Negotiations Office of the ROC Executive Yuan

The Office of Trade Negotiations under Executive Yuan, Republic of China (Taiwan) released an 18-page brochure titled ‘The New Southbound Policy- A Practical Approach Moving Full Steam Ahead’ elaborating on the contents and five (5) flagship programs plus three (3) prospective areas under the New Southbound Policy(NSP).
The five (5) flagship programs consist of regional agricultural development; medical and public health cooperation and the development of industrial chains; industrial talent development; industrial innovation and cooperation; and the NSP forum and youth exchange program to be the last, according to the brochure.
The brochure said to further promote the NSP which focuses on strengthened partnership between Taiwan and 18 countries in South Asia, Southeast Asia as well as Australia and New Zealand, the Executive Yuan aims to allocate NT$7.19 billion, or Rs. 1,545 crore, for the coming year while consolidating comprehensive resources and put them into optimal use.
