TECC in India screened Dr. Hu Tai-Li’s Film ‘Voices of Orchid Island’

A special screening of noted Ethnologist Dr. Hu Tai-Li’s film “Voices of Orchid Island” was held by Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, on 6th March 2014 in its new premises.
Amb. Tien welcome director Hu Tai-Li and Kou Shiao Yun, from Taiwan for the screening. Also present was Prof. Patricia Uberoi, Vice Chairperson of the Institute of Chinese Studies.
Amb. Tien remarked that Cinema is the best medium to bring millions of people to laughter’s, tears and the places beyond the common life. Taiwan is not only renowned for its economic development achievement but also gained international recognition for her innovative culture.
The film screening was concluded with a discussion session between Amb. Tien, director HuTai-Li, Prof. Patricia Uberoi and the audience.
