Mr. Peters Chen, Education Director of the TECC has signed MoU with Dr. Saju M.D. Principal of Rajagiri Business School and Dr. Arun Elias, Director of Rajagiri College of Social Science to establish “Taiwan Education Centre”. The TECC will announce recruitment of Taiwan Mandarin teachers to teach on campus and bridge closer bilateral education and cultural exchanges.
H.E. Amb. Baushuan Ger, Dr. Venu Rajamony, former Indian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Mr. Chunlang Chen, Director General of the TECC in Chennai, Rev. Fr. Benny Nalkara CMI, Pricipal and Manager of the Sacred Heart Province, and Rajagiri Faculties together witnessed the signing.
In his speech to Rajagiri professors and students, Amb. Ger pointed out that Mandarin courses under this MoU Framework will help to build a thriving Mandarin speaking community which can play a significant role to increase opportunities of business and investment between Taiwan and Kerala. Amb. Ger also encouraged students to apply for Taiwan Scholarships to pursue further studies in Taiwan.
Apart from setting up Taiwan Education Centre, Amb. Ger also joined a meeting with enterprises of Confederation of Indian Industry Kerala. Ms. Yu-Chi Chen, Economic Director of the TECC briefed on Economic Relations between Taiwan and India. Representatives of EV, medical devices, ayuveda, education, seafood, food processing companies shared their hope to explore business opportunities with Taiwan.
