In the afternoon of July 23rd 2018, Director-General Charles Li of TECC in Chennai called on Dr. V. C. Rameshwara Murugan, Director of Education of Tamil Nadu to further discuss the steps and contents for the collaborations between the national libraries in South India and Taiwan. Both parties agreed to proceed to sign Memorandum of Understanding the soonest so that bilateral cultural exchange, donation of books and academic collaboration can be launched accordingly.

In Tamil Nadu there are more than 6000 state schools and over 500,000 teachers. In total there are over 150,000 state and private schools.
