Mr. Stephen Hsu, Director-General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai (TECC), was pleased to meet with Patrick, Bart, and Harriet, the Taiwanese managers of the India branch of Freetrend

. During the meeting, Director-General Hsu gained a detailed understanding of the current investment and operational status of Taiwanese footwear manufacturers in Tamil Nadu, while also learning about the obstacles Freetrend is currently facing in establishing and operating its factories in the state, as well as the potential challenges ahead.

Director-General Hsu sincerely conveyed to the three Taiwanese business representatives that Freetrend’s challenges are also the concerns of the TECC. He noted that during TECC’s upcoming meetings with officials from the Tamil Nadu government, the office will actively raise the issues encountered by Freetrend and urge the state government to assist in resolving the difficulties faced by Taiwanese companies investing and setting up manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu.
