Ambassador Lin presented the ISO 27001 certificate to the National ICT Center on March 6. In his remarks, Ambassador Lin stated that, in the current process of digital transformation of the Federation, the ISO 27001 certificate represents an important milestone, as it demonstrates the Federation’s determination and efforts to conform to the international information security standard. It is particularly worth stressing that this certificate is the first ISO 27001 certificate the Federation has ever received.
Permanent Secretary Cheryleann Pemberton, on behalf of the National ICT Center, received the certificate and gave her remarks. She emphasized that changes are never easy within government agencies. Considering the high standards of the ISO 27001 certificate requires a comprehensive organizational change, it is quite an accomplishment that the ICT Center successfully pass the audit of the ISO 27001 verification.
This certificate marks the latest accomplishment of the cooperation between the governments of Taiwan and St. Kitts and Nevis. Taiwan will remain committed to working with the Federation to pursue better development and the well-being of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.
