The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) wishes to express its deepest condolences on the passing of former Governor-General, His Excellency Sir Edmund Wickham Lawrence GCMG OBE CSM JP.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Sir Edmund, who was widely respected for his distinguished service to his country and the Caribbean region.
The bond between Taiwan and St. Kitts and Nevis was further strengthened during Sir Edmund's visit to our country in 2012. He attended the inauguration ceremony of President Ma Ying-jeou, held official meetings, and engaged in cultural exchange, all of which reinforced our friendly relations.
At this difficult time, we extend our most sincere sympathies to Lady Lawrence and the family members.
