Ambassador Edward Tao attended the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis’ 42nd Independence Day Parade, accompanied by Embassy secretaries Ms. Tina Lin and Ms. Cristina Hsu.
The national ceremony was honored by the presence of Governor-General H.E. Marcella Liburd, Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, and Cabinet members. The event featured a grand parade with disciplined performances by the Defence Force, Coast Guard, Fire Services, and Cadet Corps.
Adding to the splendor, the historic 4th West India Regiment, stationed at Brimstone Hill Fortress, donned traditional uniforms and conducted a musket drill and ceremonial cannon fire, which drew enthusiastic applause from the audience.
