KUWAIT, June 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) is going ahead with its long-term strategy that lasts until 2030, tapping the human element as the core pillar for a successful oil industry.
"The corporation is continuing the implementation of its long-term strategy until 2030," KPC Chief Executive Officer Farouq Al-Zanki told reporters on the sidelines of a KPC ceremony for celebrating the completion of periodical maintenance works at Al-Shuaiba oil refinery.
He voiced confidence that the future of oil industry in Kuwait would be so bright, hoping that the Supreme Petroleum Council would approve during next meeting a couple of major oil projects, notably a new refinery and environmental fuel project.
Asked about recent reports that Kuwait could import natural gas from Egypt, the KPC chief denied such reports, saying that there were no contacts between Kuwait and Egypt in this respect.
