Taiwan expert join Saint Lucia Banana Productivity Improvement Project

The “2018 Taiwan Scholarship Award Ceremony” was organized by Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Saint Lucia on Tuesday morning, 10th of July, 2018.
Out of the more than 140 Saint Lucian applications contested this year, 14 outstanding students were selected for Taiwan Scholarship, ICDF Scholarship and I-SHOU Medical Scholarship.
H. E. Ambassador Douglas C.T. Shen congratulated the recipients and introduced the social and economic development of modern Taiwan. Ambassador Shen encouraged students not only make good use of this opportunity to pursue higher education, but also to explore and experience the wonderful local culture
Taiwan Alumni Association members Mr. Humphrey Regis, Mr. Marnus Cherry attended the ceremony and shared their experience living and studying in Taiwan.
Association of Saint Lucia Students in Taiwan, formed by current Saint Lucian students also send its President, Mr. Montelle Felix, Vice President, Mr. Nyhymn Terrance and member Mr. Marvin Dancun to join this event and interact with this year’s awardees.
