We were delighted to celebrate the 2025 ROC (Taiwan) National Day with our Lithuanian friends and distinguished guests.
The evening was filled with warm conversations and the authentic flavors of Taiwan — from braised pork rice and gua bao to the smooth and aromatic Kavalan whisky. It was a joy to share a taste of Taiwan’s warmth and hospitality with our dear Lithuanian friends.
In her remarks, Ambassador Constance Wang expressed heartfelt appreciation for the ever-growing friendship between Taiwan and Lithuania. She highlighted the deepening cooperation across diverse fields — from a new MOU between Taiwanese and Lithuanian partners to jointly develop drone components in Lithuania, to expanding collaboration in biotechnology and life sciences. These efforts reflect our shared vision of innovation, resilience, and mutual growth.
Taiwan and Lithuania also continue to stand together in supporting Ukraine, working hand in hand to provide humanitarian assistance and uphold our shared values of freedom and solidarity in difficult times.
As the Ambassador Wang concluded, she quoted Lithuania’s most renowned artist, Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis:
“One must carry light within oneself to shine through the darkness for those standing along the way, so that, seeing it, they too may find light within themselves and follow their own path.”
She added that “the light of friendship between Taiwan and Lithuania will continue to shine brightly — guiding us forward as we build a partnership that is strong, enduring, and full of hope.”
