Looking to study, train, or gain research experience in Taiwan? The Taiwan-Europe Scholarship (TES) was launched in 2026 to strengthen academic, scientific, and youth exchanges between Taiwan and its European partners.
The program offers opportunities for students from Lithuania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Kosovo, and Albania to study and participate in exchange programs in Taiwan, with a particular focus on technology and semiconductor-related fields.
Outstanding students can apply for scholarships to pursue master’s degrees in semiconductor technology at leading universities in Taiwan. The program aims to cultivate the next generation of semiconductor professionals while strengthening cooperation between Taiwan and its European partners.
The program also supports university-to-university student exchanges, allowing European students to study in Taiwan based on their academic interests. There are no restrictions on whether students are pursuing degree or non-degree studies, and opportunities are not limited to Mandarin or a specific field of study.
Students from the six participating Central and Eastern European countries can also take part in short-term semiconductor technology study and training in Taiwan, gaining practical exposure to Taiwan’s world-leading semiconductor ecosystem and opportunities to pursue further studies in the field.
These programs offer a valuable opportunity to study in Taiwan, gain international experience, build connections with Taiwanese universities, and strengthen long-term cooperation in science and technology.
